政府多個部門，19 日早上在獅子山郊野公園，進行模擬山火及攀山拯救行動演習。
演習在 19 日上午 10 時開始，預計下午 1 時結束。政府多個部門參加是次拯救演習，演習是模擬有 20 人在山上參與野外訓練，期間遇到山火，其中 10 人受傷，2 人意外墮下山坡，嚴重受傷。
消防及飛行服務隊派員到場拯救，又投擲水彈，撲滅山火，及將傷者送院。演習目的是測試各隊伍所用的滅火、拯救和通訊器材的效率。
